We’ve just arrived in Stockholm! i-deals will be present at “The future of electricity markets in a low carbon economy”, a knowledge exchange event organised by ISGAN, part of the IEA technology network.
The event will focus on the importance of market design in relation to the key aspects of power systems transformation and smart grid development: new market opportunities enabled by digitalization of the power sector, flexibility and power system interaction and optimization leveraged by smart grid solutions. The event will close with the innovative regulatory approaches to advance smart grids deployment, with focus on experimental sandboxes, a topic in which i-deals is a leading contributor.
The workshop will count with many relevant stakeholders: the presence of Ofgem as the leading regulator in the field of regulatory and experimental energy sandboxes in Europe, referent research centers such as KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Chalmers University of Technology, Austrian Institute of Technology and RSE and RISE, other leading companies boosting innovation in the energy sector such as Innoenergy, Grid Singularity and EWF, and the Swedish utility Vattenfall. The event will conclude this Wednesday, where we will visit Uppsala university to experience a hands-on training on pilot-scale grid initiatives.
