Today we have been at Club Español de la Energía where the “Valoración económica del Plan Nacional Integrado de Energía y Clima (PNIEC)” has been presented and where the most relevant stakeholders in the Spanish energy arena have explained the macroeconomic implications of the implementation of the plan in the next decade.
Some of the most relevant figures presented corresponds to the massive investment plan, reaching 200b € up until 2030 (20% public & 80% private), targeting the deployment of renewable generation -43% of the total investment-, energy efficiency measures -37%-, grid upgrading -13%- and electrification of energy vectors such as heat and transport -2%-. Furthermore, this investment will cover the forecasted 55GW – yes, with G- of RES deployment up until 2030.
